The Retail and E-tail program is designed to train students in sales, marketing, and merchandising techniques. This course is offered at our Delano Center. Students learn store operation through community classroom experience. Training includes work in selling, cashiering, display, inventory control and advertising. Books used in the course deal with mathematics, marketing, psychology, retailing, and e-tailing. The retail sales industry is a people-oriented field.
After successful completion of the classroom theory, students are placed on the job training in a wide variety of local retail businesses – both corporate and family owned. Students are mentored at these placement sites to further their attainment of the retail industry skills needed to be successful in this career.
Upon completion of the course the student is awarded with a Certificate of Completion and an Achievement Record.

The Co-operative Education program is designed to develop or improve competencies in marketing and merchandising occupations. This course is offered both in the Wasco and Delano center. Co-operative students earn and learn in businesses in their local communities. They are supervised by the employer and the Co-operative Education instructor. The students will learn skills related to retail sales and merchandising, sales clerk, cashier checker, grocery clerk, catalog-credit clerk, and receiving. Classroom work will include the competencies needed to be successful in the retail industry and will be designed to meet the individual needs of each student. Upon completion of the course the student is awarded with a Certificate of Completion and an Achievement Record.
