This course is open to both men and women who have a sincere interest in caring for the ill and convalescing.
Students begin their school year in the classroom studying basic anatomy/physiology, human development, factors affecting health, basic nursing care, charting techniques, and the role of the health provider. Upon successful completion of the introductory units, students will be transported to clinical setting where they will use skills in the care of patients in convalescent and/or acute hospital under the direct supervision of the instructor.
The program is an excellent foundation for those who wish to seek employment as a Nursing Assistant. Students who wish to further their education towards L.V.N., R.N., or a different medical field will find knowledge, skills and basic back ground in the health field career ladder. Upon completion of the course the student is awarded a Certificate of Completion and an Achievement Record.
Students who graduate with a Certificate of Completion have a historical achievement record of 99% pass rate on the Certified Nursing Assistant Exam.
